HobbyWing XRotor FC to HGLRC Forward VTX

HobbyWing XRotor FC to HGLRC Forward VTX - No Soldering from Cyclone FPV Tutorials

Again it is very important that you check your wiring before you give your board power but this setup works and it will work on other VTX's that use pins..

Cyclone FPV HobbyWing XRotor FC and HGFLRC Forward VTX for CycloneFPV

Look at the picture and make sure that your wires match mine. The order is followings:

From the HW FC:

  • pin 1 = video in - this cable is to be removed and connected to the camera video out cable
  • pin 2 = video out - this wire is to be take out of and moved to pin location 6 on the vtx plug side
  • pin 3 = 10v - this wire is to be taken out and moved to pin location 1 on the vtx plug side
  • pin 4 = ground - this wire is to be taken out and moved to pin location 2 on the vtx plug side
  • pin 5 = UART6-RX - this wire can be removed entirely and saved for future use
  • pin 6 = UART6-TX - this wire is to be taken out and moved to pin location 3 on the VTX plug side

When you are done, on 4 wires will run between the two plugs. They will cross and should look like this:

  • 1 out to camera
  • 2 to 6
  • 3 to 1
  • 4 to 2
  • 5 remove
  • 6 to 3
  • spaces 4 and 5 on the vtx plug should be empty
  • space 5 on the fc side should be empty

Here is a video to give more detail. Hope this helps folks!
